Team Coaching ROI - What’s the Point?*

How do we demonstrate the impact of our work when the most significant shifts are often the most nebulous?

About the event

In an increasingly data-driven world, the pressure to provide rigid metrics for leadership interventions is real. Yet, as practitioners, we know that an over-focus on structured measurement can sometimes drown out the "real work" emerging within a team.

Join Jennifer Campion and Caroline Duffy for an inquiry into the polarity of value. In this interactive session, we will explore the tension between structured Return on Investment (ROI) and the emergent Return on Expectation (ROE). We’ll share our own experiences of "tying ourselves in knots" to prove value, and invite you to reflect on where the responsibility for ROI truly sits.

Key Takeaways:

  • Balance Structure with Emergence: Explore a "both/and" approach to evaluation, moving beyond the binary of metrics versus intuition.

  • Clarify Responsibility for Value: Reflect on the practitioner’s urge to "perform" value and learn how to re-anchor the responsibility for ROI within the client system.

  • Amplifying the Intangible: Identify ways to use storytelling and dialogue to make emergent, qualitative shifts visible and valued by stakeholders.
